It was another quiet day. We had a few visitors though, so the birds we did catch got a fair bit of attention. In particular, one Chipping Sparrow just couldn’t stay away and visited us on three separate occasions. Was it my irresistable charm? Perhaps he just yearns for his chance to be a kept bird, fed only the finest seed in a climate controlled enclosure? Most likely he was just hungry and has a very short memory. Regardless of his motivation, he gave us something to carry back on some of our otherwise empty net checks.
