It was a great day at Ruthven today. We processed 35 birds. We had excellent diversity with 63 species seen on the grounds. The highlight was great views of 3 CAPE MAY and 3 BLACKBURNIAN WARBLERS in the trees around the mansion, as well as a very drab PINE WARBLER. We also had 1 BOBOLINK, 1 NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD, 1 PIED-BILLED GREBE and 1 COMMON NIGHTHAWK throughout the morning. We had a large group of summer camp kids & their leaders, so it was great to have Carol, Eric and Faye helping Nancy and myself. Just a great day.

Sounds like a very interesting day with lots of diversity!! I think the Pied-billed Grebe is the first for the year. Nice going.
