May 4th – Still Just a Trickle

I was greeted by a stiff Westerly wind first thing. The distant cloud bank in the SW made its way quickly toward us and I thought that perhaps we were going to get another drenching but it blew over and we were left with a mix of sun and clouds and moderate temperatures. Migrants though were in short supply although the sighting of a White-eyed Vireo on census was a treat.
Ooops! The rain-soaked trails can be treacherous.
