A heavy frost made net opening a bit tedious this morning. It was a quiet day with few warblers to be found. The Goldfinches are still filtering through, but also at a slower pace.
The creek that runs through the valley behind our net lanes has gone from a torrent two weeks ago to a trickle. The mud has dried up so much it is tempting to stash the knee high rubber boots and make the switch to much more comfortable running shoes…. That is ‘till the next rain!
