A great day to be outside! There was a good variety of birds around….just not down low in the area of the nets. So we did some work, made some changes: took down Net #1 and helped Carol put up her net – 4″C”. It will now be in competition with Nancy’s (1A), mine (6A) and Ben’s (9B). It got off to a great start – a Northern Waterthrush! We also put up 3 nets in the Meadow chain which we will use to see what migrants use the meadow as a stopover.
The first bird caught in Carol Jones's net - 4"C" - a Northern Waterthrush.
