A couple days of cooler temperatures (single digits at night) got me thinking about Fall. But today, the temperatures soared back up into the high 20’s (by 11:00) and it was right back to Summer. Usually days like this make for poor banding at Ruthven but Nancy got 46 birds – over half of them were warblers, including the 3rd Connecticut Warbler in as many days.

Banded 46:
2 Gray-cheeked Thrushes
2 Swainson’s Thrushes

1 Black-throated Green Warbler
4 Bay-breasted Warblers
1 Blackpoll Warbler
3 American Redstarts
4 Ovenbirds
