For the first time in a week we had a southerly flow of air! No bitter north winds today. The overnight low was a balmy +10C. And although we did not catch many birds, we did get some new species for the spring, including the first Nashville and Yellow Warblers.
I had two keen young birders shadow me this morning, Luk (11yrs) and Zak (9yrs) Husak from Hamilton. I was really impressed with their identification skills, and hope that they will be back. Banders in the making!
