May 12th – Not Much to Report

Nice views of bluebells and Golden Alexanders flowering along River and Carolinian Trails, respectively. Heard a few migrants (Northern Parula – first for the year – and Black-throated Green Warbler) on census but banding was dominated by local birds. Not as many swallows feeding over the river. Heard 1 Purple Martin but none by the martin houses.
