A few “nice” birds (Brown Thrasher, first Purple Finch, first Solitary Sandpiper) spruced up what was otherwise a very slow morning. To me the most interesting birds were the two Pine Siskins that we banded. They should have been long gone by now, back to the north woods from which they came.

Thank goodness we had such a nice array of visitors/friends to help us pass the time and keep it interesting.

1 Blue Jay
1 Tufted Titmouse
1 Black-capped Chickadee

2 White-throated Sparrows
1 Brown-headed Cowbird
1 Baltimore Oriole
