October 3rd- Data and Deep Reflection

It was raining hard this morning – all morning. I headed out anyway since, if there’s no banding, thereis data entry. And that’s how I spent the morning: data entry interspaced with deep reflection (i.e., I dozed off). By noon, almost 2 cm of rain had fallen since noon yesterday.
I did get a lot of data entered though….and I even had a couple of deep thoughts.

Later, in the evening, I returned to walk the Carolinian Trail. I scared up an American Woodcock along the trail just below Net #2. Shortly thereafter I was startled by a Wild Turkey that was roosting high in a tree and took off over my head – big lumbering things that have the grace (and manouverability) of an old Lancaster bomber.
