(Aunt Grace’s )Spice Cake
1 cup margarine, softened
2 ¼ cups sugar
5 eggs
1 cup sour milk (1 tbsp. lemon juice or vinegar added to milk)
3 cups flour
1 tbsp. cloves
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. baking soda
1 cup raisins
Preheat oven 350 °F. Cream margarine and sugar. Add eggs, beating well. Combine flour, spices, baking powder and soda. Add to creamed mixture, alternating with milk. Stir in raisins. Pour into a greased bundt pan and bake for 1 hour.
