September 10th – Rain
It was a mix of sunshine, cloud and intermittent showers for the start of the day. We were able to leave the nets open until mid-morning when the rain came in a heavy downpour. The heavier rain continued so we had to close the nets a little earlier this morning.

September 11th – Visitors
When a new season starts, it’s always nice to see familiar faces and friends return. The early morning hours were clear, and cool – a welcome relief from a week of heat and humidity. Ten different warbler species this morning, appearing drab in their fall plumage but still with vibrant colors of yellow, green, orange, and blue.
