No matter how you look at it, it was a great weekend:

  • we banded a total of 304 birds in two days
  • 3 of these were the first Saw-whet Owls of the year
  • we had great weather for the Festival
  • the attendance was well over 130
  • all of the speakers were terrific
  • everyone went away happy

Yellow-billed Cuckoo was a treat for the early Festival census walkers.

  1. We really enjoyed ourselves and it was great to see so many people enjoying the festival. We plan to be over again before the banding station closes for the season.
