On November 10th (yes, this post is a little late), Rick and I attempted to get a sample of the birds in the area, hoping to get and idea of which birds winter at Ruthven. The day was a little windy, and kind of chilly, and since Rick was busy with the Ruthven clean-up crew, I only opened nets 1, 2, & 4.
Highlights were a late Hermit Thrush, 7 Wood Ducks on the river (on census), and a couple of Northern Shrikes (on census).
